Fashion Fridays – Tango Time
The color gods announced this week that 2012s color of the year is tangerine tango, a vibrant shade of orange. Taking the reigns from 2011s hue, honeysuckle, tangerine tango is like a close cousin, keeping things bright and warm.
Orange is not for everyone, but as I looked back on some of the spring/summer 2012 runway shows from New York Fashion Week, I saw so many great looks that incorporated the sunny shade.
Designers like Nicole Miller, General Idea and Rag & Bone mixed the tangerine hue with blues and greens through color blocking and stripes. These preppy and sporty looks make the intimidating color seem more wearable.
Designer Rei Kawakubo has done it again once more: the designer has taken a simple bottle that had been discarded and breathed new life into it for a different-shaped flacon. 
On Monday I was invited to the launch of Jo Malone‘s new fragrance brand Jo Loves (which we told you about way back in March) which took place in her pop up stand in Selfridges beauty hall before the store opened (that’s 8am by the way).
Nikes seamless Vac Tech application adorns the Blazer mid and looks couldnt be anymore pleasing. After the Air Max 90 and Air Force 1 drops, the Blazer mid could not come at a better time as 2011 comes to a close. In a grey no-sew suede construction, the upper is counteracted by a white midsole and high contrast red stitching on the tongue and like color outsole. We hope to see more models get the Vac Tech treatment but in the meantime, you can pick these up today at afew and other premium Nike retailers.
